Free-zone renewal in Dubai is often blocked by a missing audit pack, not by the activity. We have assembled DMCC, JAFZA, IFZA and SHAMS packs from Deira since 2024, in the form each zone actually files — not a PDF that looks official and fails at the counter.
What the zone usually wants
Audited financial statements, a copy of the licence, and schedules that match the system the zone uses that year. Deadlines sit on the licence, not on our wish list. We diary the date when the engagement starts so week fifty-one is not a surprise.
Zones are not interchangeable
A DMCC pack is not a JAFZA pack. IFZA and SHAMS have their own habits. Tell us the zone and the last renewal outcome. We will scope to that authority, including whether they still want a full opinion or a lighter accounts file.
Questions we are asked
How early should we start?
Eight to ten weeks before the licence date is civilised. Four weeks is possible if the books are closed. Two weeks is a rush fee and a risk we will name in the letter.
What if last year’s audit was qualified?
We read the prior opinion first. A repeat qualification without work on the cause is how companies lose a licence conversation.
Do you file with the zone or only sign?
We sign the statements. Filing support sits in the same office if you want it in the engagement. The zone portal login remains yours.
